Shannon Smith Johnson
Overview
Shannon Smith Johnson provides legal services for various Colorado special districts, authorities, and other local governments. She assists clients by providing a range of legal services, including reviewing and drafting contracts, helping to conduct local government elections, ensuring annual and ethical compliance, and assisting with day-to-day legal issues. Ms. Johnson received her Juris Doctorate in 2014 from Michigan State University College of Law where she graduated summa cum laude and was a senior editorial board member of the Michigan State Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Johnson was a King’s Scholar, the winner of the 2012 Donald Nystrom Best 1L Advocacy Brief Competition, and the author of four articles published in various legal publications, including The Colorado Lawyer. In 2013, Ms. Johnson also clerked for Senior Administrative Law Judge Edwin L. Felter, Jr. at the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts.
