Overview

Jennifer L. Ivey provides legal services for a range of Colorado special districts, political subdivisions and municipalities. She assists these clients with their formation, establishment, governance and operation.

Admitted to practice law in the State of Colorado in 2006 and the State of New Mexico in 2009. Ms. Ivey assists in all aspects of the firm’s work as general counsel to regional authorities, along with various special districts and political subdivisions of Colorado. In her practice, she regularly prepares various land use agreements, intergovernmental agreements, easements, leases and purchase agreements for clients. Additionally, she advises clients regarding legal issues unique to governmental entities, including open meetings laws, constitutional requirements and annual compliance cycles.

A recipient of her Juris Doctorate in 2006 from Michigan State University College of Law, Ms. Ivey graduated magna cum laude with a certificate in corporate law. Ms. Ivey earned her Master of Science in 2004 from Wayne State University and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 2000. In law school, Ms. Ivey was the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Business and Securities Law and a King’s Scholar, and received the 2006 Association of Corporate Counsel Scholarship. Ms. Ivey is admitted to practice law in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
